- Recording and Editing Quality Videos with Minimal Equipment: Capturing clear videos with just your phone, and avoiding common mistakes that make people scroll up.
- Brand Clarity & Messaging: Even if you’re not a business, you have a brand – it’s how people perceive you and your message.
- To Niche or Not to Niche: Is your intention better served by a “personality brand” or niche content?
- Talking to the Camera: Overcome the fear of being on camera with strategies for authentic, engaging communication and tips for recording yourself.
- Easy Editing Workflows: Learn how to easily edit your videos using TikTok and CapCut, a free, user-friendly app that lets you create polished content without the overwhelm.
- Content Strategy: Build a content plan that aligns with your message and engages your audience, while keeping your videos fun and effective.
And at the end of each class, we’ll also introduce a short confidence-boosting practice to help you feel more comfortable and ready to share your message on camera, including Anchoring in Your Main Character Energy and EFT Tapping to Overcome Fear.

Session 1: TikTok for Complete Beginners
This session is for you if you’ve heard about the benefits of marketing your business on TikTok, but you’ve never even been on the platform. If you’re “allergic” to short video, but you’re willing to be convinced, this is the session for you. We’ll start from the very beginning – watching TikToks. I’ll show you how the platform works, and what to look for to get inspiration for your own content.
- How to use the app to find and save inspiration for your content.
- Your profile.
- Interacting with other creators to build community.
- Beginner tech considerations, because now you’re hooked and can’t wait to record!
Please install TikTok on your phone before this session so you can play along.
Session 2: Your First Posts
The best time to get started posting on TikTok is ASAP! In the beginning, you’re learning the platform, practicing recording, and the algorithm takes a while to figure out who to show your content to. So we’ll start with some easy video formats to get you started.

Session 3: Recording Quality Video
In this session, you’ll learn how to make your videos look more professional. Casual is welcome on TikTok, but poor sound quality and bad lighting will affect your views, so we’ll learn to make quality videos with minimal equipment.

Session 4: Talking to the Camera, from Shy to Shining!
- Learn to record a “talking head” video.
- The Art of the Hook.
- Story-telling framework for business owners.
Session 5: Editing
In this session you’ll learn some basic editing techniques to re-arrange clips, add B-roll, and create voice-overs.
- How to edit your videos in TikTok or CapCut.
Please install CapCut on your phone or computer before this session so you can play along.
Session 6: Content Strategy & Sales
Now that you have some practice posting, let’s get more strategic about what to post for your business.

Do I need prior experience with TikTok or video creation?
Nope! This course is designed for beginners and those who’ve never created videos before. I’ll walk you through everything from scratch!
What if I can’t make the live classes?
No worries! All sessions will be recorded, and you’ll have access to the virtual classroom to catch up anytime.
What if TikTok is banned/I don’t want to be on TiTok? Will this course work for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts too?
Yes! While we focus on TikTok, the skills you’ll learn can be easily applied to Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Digital Ecosystem Design is a 6-week, online course where you’ll learn essential tools for modern businesses. You’ll plant the seed of your digital ecosystem to support your business growth. During this course, you’ll learn fundamental skills for small business owners who want to make the most of their resources while saving time and energy in the digital age.
We need to do the hard, long-term work of making systemic change. Online or in-person, the work of change and transformation must be done with other people–those annoying beings who do not always agree with us, and want their own way!
Collaborative groups may be healing, nurturing, and inspirational—by understanding their patterns and challenges, we can design structures that favor supportive, nurturing relationships.
Empowering Collaborative Groups is a six-week online course, where Starhawk guides us through her book, The Empowerment Manual: A Guide for Collaborative Groups.
OUR NETWORK
A core component of this course – and every Earth Activist Training course – is our private forum: Earth Activist Training Online network. This platform is where you will find course resources, your homework, and a network to connect with classmates and other Earth Activist students.
Recordings of each class will be available to you as a resource. You will have access to the course for a year after the course ends should you want to deepen your understanding of the material.
