Ritual Skills – Magic in Challenging Times

Magic, according to occultist Dion Fortune, is “the art of changing consciousness at will.” That’s a definition that can serve for meditation, personal growth, or political change—and never had we needed magic more!
The tools of magic and ritual can deepen our awareness, enhance our consciousness, create a sense of belonging and help us face together those things that are too hard to face alone. Starhawk draws on half a century of experience writing, teaching and creating magic and ritual to help us stay grounded and sane in the midst of chaos, design actions and ceremonies that unite our communities in this time of stress and fear, process our grief and despair, and strengthen our will to create a world of justice and compassion.
Participants in this series will learn and hone a variety of the skills needed to create a sustaining personal practice as well as craft and lead rituals in a wide variety of settings. In addition, we’ll explore how we can weave magic into secular situations to help create deeper bonds of connection, enhanced solidarity, and the ability to face repression with confidence and courage.
