Advanced Permaculture

Advanced Permaculture (AP) is a six month, four-module, certificate course focused on understanding natural systems and cycles, learning tools of regenerative land stewardship, and developing plans to implement restorative design practices.

Bioremediation & Earth Repair
Jan. 19 – Feb. 23 (online)
Bioremediation & Earth Repair will provide an introduction to different bioremediation tools and techniques for detoxifying and revitalizing the gardens, lands and waters that sustain and nourish our communities. This class will highlight bioremediation projects and inspiring practitioners who are working with regenerative remedies to heal toxic realities.
Site Design

Site Design is a module in the Advanced Permaculture program focused on helping students with site analysis, developing goals, and communicating plans. Site Design is only available to students enrolled in the Advanced Permaculture certificate program.
Regenerative Business Design

In today’s changing world, our planet is calling for businesses to follow Earth-based ethics, principles, and ecological design processes– also known as permaculture! Regenerative Business Design will guide you through a step-by-step process to build a business that can sustain you financially while staying true to your core values.
Water Management
Feb. 19 – Mar. 26 (online)
Resilient design begins with Water Management. Come learn to work with water, nutrients, and energy flows to create vibrant landscapes and resilient communities. This class will guide you through the art and science of working in harmony with water to create a healthy and abundant landscape.

Soil & Animals
Apr. 2 – May 7 (online)
Understanding soil and the role of animals is key to any resilient land design. Come learn how to build healthy living soils for vibrant landscapes and resilient communities. This class will guide you through the art and science of building soils for productive landscapes.
Digital Ecosystem Design
Apr. 22 – May 27 (online)
Digital Ecosystem Design is a 6-week, hands-on course where you’ll learn essential tools for modern businesses. You’ll plant the seed of your digital ecosystem to support your business growth. During this course, you’ll learn fundamental skills for small business owners who want to make the most of their digital resources while saving time and energy in the digital age.
Introduction to Permaculture

Start your Permaculture journey with this introductory class, where you will get oriented to Permaculture with a solid grounding in history, philosophy and some core tools used in permaculture design.
Food Forest & Forest Ecology
May 14 – June 18 (online)
Join Starhawk and Charles Williams, along with amazing guest presenters to learn about forest ecology and principles for designing and maintaining productive forest systems. This class can be taken as a stand-alone class for personal growth, or as part of EAT’s Advanced Permaculture certificate program.
Mud Magic
May 28-31 (in-person, Cazadero, CA)
Come join us for a long weekend in the beautiful Cazadero Hills, playing with mud and unleashing your creativity while learning the skills of building with natural materials.
Social Permaculture Clinic
