I hereby affirm that I have been advised on the inherent risks associated
with attending an Earth Activist Training (EAT) class, residing onsite, and visiting other permaculture demonstration sites in the area.

I understand that those risks include, but are not limited to; the risk of physical injury, exposure to potentially poisonous plants, insects, ticks and rattlesnakes, uneven and/or slippery walking surfaces, woodland fires, attack by wild animals, theft, traffic accidents, and other risks that may result in property damage, personal injury, or even death.

I understand that injuries can occur even if Earth Activist Training and others associated with these operations have taken all reasonable precautions. I further understand that due to the remote location of this program, medical treatment for such injuries could be delayed.

I hereby personally assume all responsibility for risks arising while attending an Earth Activist Training class or residing on the host sites, including any harm, injury, illness, death, or damage that may befall me as a result of taking part in this class and/or participating in its activities, whether foreseen or unforeseen.


I agree that I will assume all responsibility for any injury, illness, and/or damage and related costs, medical expenses, and damages of any kind that I may incur arising out of, or in any way related to, visiting sites or participating in the Earth Activist Training class. I choose to attend Earth Activist Training and to participate in the activities offered, in spite of all risks and the possible delay in medical assistance.


I further agree that I hold Earth Activist Training, the event host site and sites visited as part of the program, including owners, instructors, officers, agents, managers, contractors, employees, volunteers, and assigns, free of any and all claims for liability, injury, illness, death, costs, medical bills, or other damages incurred by me or my family, heirs, or assigns, no matter how caused, including damages, injuries, illness, or death alleged to be partially or solely caused by Earth Activist Training, Golden Rabbit Ranch, Black Mountain Retreat Center, or sites visited as part of the program, acts, omissions, commissions, carelessness, negligence, or liability without fault. I expressly do not give up the rights and remedies that may be available to me under California law that may arise due to Earth Activist Training, the event host sites or sites visited as part of the program's, owners or staff’s gross negligence and/or willful misconduct.

I understand that the Release of Liability Waiver applies whether or not such injury, damage, or loss is in any way connected with participation in any activities offered by Earth Activist Training and Padmasambhava Peace Institute, and/or whether such injuries result from my own negligent acts or from the acts of other participants. I also understand these terms are contractual and not a mere recital. I have signed this document of my own free will.


I further agree that in the event of any dispute whatsoever between me, Earth Activist Training, host sites related to the attended program, or agents working with or for Earth Activist Training and host sites, I will first submit the matter to non-binding mediation before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Center for Mediation in San Francisco, California. In addition, should this arbitration fail to resolve our differences through mediation; I will submit any remaining disputed claim to binding and final arbitration before the AAA in San Francisco, California.


I further agree that this Release of Liability Waiver is effective for all of my visits to Earth Activist Training events and classes, and my participation in the activities offered for three years following the date that I sign it.


I have read this form carefully and completely before signing. I understand and agree to all of its terms.

I accept the terms and conditions of this agreement and agree to comply with all related rules and policies. I understand that I may withdraw my consent at any time by contacting the organization, recognizing that doing so may affect my ability to continue with the related service or activity.

Permaculture and community in action are inherently beautiful, and we love to share
images and recordings of our courses and events with the world. It allows us to get the word out about our activities and share regenerative concepts and practices beyond our class settings. We request that you sign this form so we can document and share the goings-on of our shared work.
EAT strives to be very careful with people's images when using them in social media promotion. We never attach peoples name with images without their consent and try to keep the images as general as possible to convey a feeling and not personal information. That said, We do our best to stay current on best practices for maintaining people's privacy and autonomy.

I grant full permission to Earth Activist Training (hereafter “EAT”) to use any recording, image, photograph, voice or likeness of me in connection with EAT’s educational and promotional efforts. I further understand and grant full permission for such content to be used in publications, electronic media, advertising, trade, and other lawful uses that further the efforts of EAT.
I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs or electronic images that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the image.
I release EAT and its officers, representatives, contractors, and employees from any
and all liability for any rights of action or claims deriving from the rights granted to
EAT herein, including, but not limited to, any privacy rights, proprietary rights, and any rights to compensation.

I am 18 years of age or older and competent to contract in my own name. I have read this release before signing below, and I fully understand its contents, meaning, and impact. I understand that I am free to address any specific questions regarding this release by submitting them in writing prior to signing, and I agree that not doing so will be interpreted as a free and informed acceptance of the terms of this release.
