Autumn Mysteries:
Demeter and Persephone
Saturday, September 19th
10 am-12 Pm Pacific Time / 1 – 3 pm Eastern Time
By donation
The myth of Demeter and Persephone is a core teaching about love, grief, rage, loss and restitution. It speaks deeply to us at this time of so much anguish and uncertainty. And while we often think of the story of Persephone’s return from the Land of the Dead as a story of Spring, when new life returns to the land, in ancient Greece it formed the thread of the Greater Eleusinian Mysteries, celebrated in the Fall, when the rains bring back life after the dry Mediterranean summer.
Join Starhawk to celebrate the Autumn Equinox with a journey into this ancient story. It’s an opportunity to release our grief, mourn our losses, and embrace the transformation that comes when we face our fears and step into the unknown. Come away with renewed energy, hope and with new tools to face the challenges of this moment.
