DESCRIPTION:There is power in knowing how to make common repairs that keep our living spaces more livable. The cost and availability of trades folks as well as difficult landlords can prevent basic repairs that keep our homes functioning and comfortable. The workshop includes basic hand and power tool use\, simple plumbing\, drywall repair\, flooring maintenance and repair\, resolving window issues including replacing broken windows\, and repair requests from students. Further\, we will discuss how to find useful on-line resources to address a multitude of repair challenges. This workshop is for Farmsteaders\, Renters\, Homeowners\, Squatters and anyone who needs to make simple repairs in your living space. This is an inclusive workshop for gender identities and expressions typically excluded from trades skills. Centering queers\, femmes\, and thems. All are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Summer solstice—The longest day and shortest night of the year. Traditionally\, a time of roses and bonfires\, inspiration and transformation.  And never have we needed them more!  We need magic and action\, spells and protests\, visions of the world we want and the courage and strength to create it. Join us for a participatory online ritual to transform fear\, rage\, and despair to hope and commitment to action. Lady Liberty lifts her torch high!  We will feed the flames and make it a beacon of hope\, justice and welcome. The MAGA movement has targeted all programs that celebrate diversity\, equity and inclusion.  But we in Earth Activist Training know that diversity generates resilience.  We are committed to continuing our decades-long project to broaden the permaculture movement and bring the tools of regenerative design to targeted communities.
