SUMMARY:Nomads & Renters
DESCRIPTION:A colloquium on living sustainably without owning land \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow do we live sustainably in an era where land ownership is out of reach? This is not a rhetorical question or one for intellectual contemplation. This is a very real question and has many equally real answers. This monthly conversation will bring together folks who have struggled with and found practical solutions to living sustainably as nomads and renters. \n\n\n\nThis is a community conversation exploring various issues around living landless. Each week\, we will have a different guest join us and share their wisdom\, followed by time for community conversation.  This colloquium is solution-focused with a goal of sharing the practical skills needed to make land-centric living without ownership possible. \n\n\n\n\n\nTo learn more\, please visit the Nomads & Renters webpage or register below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGET MORE INFORMATION >\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Step 1 of 2 – Your Details\n \n \n 50%\n \n \n Contact InformationPreferred Name(Required)How would you like us to refer to you?\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n PronounsselectShe/herThey/themHe/himPrefer not to sayOtherWhat pronone would you like us to use refering to you?Other NameDo you have another name we need to know for tracking your payments or homework submission. \n \n \n Other First\n \n \n \n \n Other Last\n \n \n \n E-mail(Required)\n \n Phone NumberAbout YouHow did you hear about this class?(Required)Earth Activist Training websiteEarth Activist Training social media or newsletterStarhawk's social media or newsletterFellow Earth Activist – please share their name so that we can thank themChris Gilmour via Chris Outdoors (Canada)Deanery Project (Canada)OUR Ecovillage (Canada)Javan BernakevitchOtherWho refered you to Earth Activist Training?Personal GoalsWhat goals do you have for taking this course? SUMMARY:Autumn Mysteries: Demeter & Persephone
DESCRIPTION:The myth of Demeter and Persephone is a core teaching about love\, grief\, rage\, loss and restitution. It speaks deeply to us at this time of so much anguish and uncertainty. And while we often think of the story of Persephone’s return from the Land of the Dead as a story of Spring\, when new life returns to the land\, in ancient Greece it formed the thread of the Greater Eleusinian Mysteries\, celebrated in the Fall\, when the rains bring back life after the dry Mediterranean summer. \n\n\n\nJoin Starhawk to celebrate the Autumn Equinox with a journey into this ancient story.  It’s an opportunity to release our grief\, mourn our losses\, and embrace the transformation that comes when we face our fears and step into the unknown.  Come away with renewed energy\, hope and with new tools to face the challenges of this moment. \n\n\n\n– ASL interpreted for the hearing-impaired \n\n\n\n\n\nTo learn more\, please visit the Autumn Mysteries: Demeter & Persephone webpage or register below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGET MORE INFORMATION >\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Preferred Name(Required)How do you want us to casually refer to you. SUMMARY:Re-Rooting Ourselves in Nature
DESCRIPTION:Inspiring conversations about modern applications of deep time practices from around the world.\n\n\n\nAll of humanity is bound together by the shared experience of living with and within the confines of natural systems and the extent to which we may alter them and still survive.  Around the world and across time\, humans have developed relationships with the place(s) in which they reside and with the beings with whom they share it.  Ancestral knowledge\, stories\, spiritual practices\, and daily living customs arose in this learning to live as a part of nature and spread across the globe as humans migrated\, willingly and unwillingly. \n\n\n\nStories of Hope – Judith Schwartz – Sept. 22nd \n\n\n\nIndigenous Regenerative Food Systems\, Past and Present – Dr. Lyla June – Sept. 29th \n\n\n\nThe Planet’s Moisture Pump – Anastassia Makarieva – Oct. 26th \n\n\n\nAncestors of the Land – Scott Richardson-Read – Oct. 13th \n\n\n\nRe-Rooting as a Refugee – Paulinho Muzaliwa – Oct 20th \n\n\n\nGreening the Desert – Nadia Lawton – Oct. 27th \n\n\n\nWater & Fireflies: Grieving & Thriving for Community Activists – Bonita Eloise Ford – Nov. 3rd \n\n\n\nRe-Rooting  in the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforests –  Jonathan Belarmino – Nov. 10th \n\n\n\n\n\nTo learn more\, please visit the Re-Rooting Ourselves In Nature webpage or register below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGET MORE INFORMATION >\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n \n \n 2026 Re-Rooting Ourselves in Nature\n \n \n \n Step 1 of 2 – Your Details\n \n \n 50%\n \n \n Contact InformationPreferred Name(Required)How would you like us to refer to you?\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n PronounsselectShe/herThey/themHe/himPrefer not to sayOtherWhat pronone would you like us to use refering to you?E-mail(Required)\n \n Phone\n \n \n \n Country\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Phone Number\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About YouHow did you hear about this class?Earth Activist Training websiteEarth Activist Training social media or newsletterStarhawk's social media or newsletterFellow Earth Activist – please share their name so that we can thank themChris Gilmour via Chris Outdoors (Canada)Deanery Project (Canada)OUR Ecovillage (Canada)Javan BernakevitchOtherWho refered you to Earth Activist Training?Accessibility and SupportYou are welcome to share with us: Do you have physical accessibility or learning needs?
SUMMARY:Magical Activism: Transforming the War Cult
DESCRIPTION:The Odyssey is this summer’s big movie. The Manosphere is obsessed with testosterone. Wars rage\, driven by some strong man’s ego. Maybe it’s time to re-examine the cult of the Warrior\, that Bronze-Age propaganda coup that has driven our myths\, our religions and our conceptions of gender for thousands of years.  The cult still shapes politics\, entertainment and religion\, in ways both obvious and unseen.  And it lives within us\, constricting who we can be. What is the Warrior cult? It’s the stories\, the philosophies and the ingrained assumptions that aggression equals strength and manliness\, that caring and compassion are womanly and weak\, that the glory of conquest is more important than life itself.  \n\n\n\nYet there are other images of strength and courage\, both older and potentially newer.  The ancient Goddesses long pre-date the rise of the Warrior\, and in their imagery and stories we can find alternative visions of power.  And at this crucial time\, when the world is literally burning and democracy itself may fall victim to the strongmen\, we need both those ancient powers and our own creativity and vision to forge a new mythic ground. \n\n\n\nIn this 6-week online course\, we’ll explore the warrior myths and the ancient Goddesses that underly them. Through reading\, discussion\, ritual and trance journeys\, we’ll transform the our internalized War-cult and reawaken deeper creative and healing powers.  Our path will take us from the Odyssey and the figures of Athena\, Circe and Calypso through journeys of initiation as a different model of courage.  We’ll look at our cultural fear of the body and pleasure and the ancient erotic rites of the Sacred Marriage to reclaim our love for our bodies\, and the embodiment of beauty and pleasure in the natural world. The Witch represents our cultural fear of and attraction to power that goes outside of conventional bounds. Finally\, we’ll explore the Healer’s journey\, and co-create myths and stories that can guide us through these times. \n\n\n\nStudents will gain increased awareness of the Warrior Cult underlies patriarchy\, and gain tools for withstanding the stress and anxiety of this moment.  We will transform the internalized stories that limit us and awaken deeper sources of power. Participants will come away with increased creative energy\, confidence\, and sharpened capacities for action in the service of justice. \n\n\n\n\n\nTo learn more\, please visit the Transforming the War Cult webpage or register below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGET MORE INFORMATION >\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n 2026 Magical Activism: Transforming the War Cult\n \n \n Preferred Name(Required)How do you want us to casually refer to you.
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGET MORE INFORMATION >\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Step 1 of 2 – Your Details\n \n \n 50%\n \n \n Contact InformationPreferred Name(Required)How would you like us to refer to you?\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n PronounsselectShe/herThey/themHe/himPrefer not to sayOtherWhat pronone would you like us to use refering to you?Other NameDo you have another name we need to know for tracking your payments or homework submission.
SUMMARY:Nomads & Renters
DESCRIPTION:A colloquium on living sustainably without owning land \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow do we live sustainably in an era where land ownership is out of reach? This is not a rhetorical question or one for intellectual contemplation. This is a very real question and has many equally real answers. This monthly conversation will bring together folks who have struggled with and found practical solutions to living sustainably as nomads and renters. \n\n\n\nThis is a community conversation exploring various issues around living landless.
